So how tall is your auto floor shifter? Im looking to put one in with a bench seat. I dont want one with a big bottom console type box. A simple rubber boot would be nice. Post a pic of you of your floor shifter. especially if you have a bench seat.

Even with a manual valve body, a simple manual shift boot looks like it would work. Wth a T5 a Bench seat is still viable. .Typical vendors usually list a small and large 'Hurst" type shifter boot. Large @ 9 X 8 " makes it simple.

True, but I really like the bench. Just need a shifter that is tall enough so Im not bending over to shift into drive.

Are you positive you do not want a mini console? Does your shifter have a reverse lock out? Have your neutral safety switch and back up lights been addressed? Both of these issues are resolved in my console.

I'm not familiar with that particular B&M shifter. On the Summit Racing website owners give it good ratings and the description indicates there is a neutral safety switch and back up light switch.

I dunno but it really doesn't make a difference, at worse connect switch between present wiring and trigger post on solenoid...

AFAIK all dash harnesses, auto or stick are same.. Without neutral safety, under dash there should be a plug with a jumper in it... If auto plug connects to neutral safety sw. Since 1970 was first year Ford used neutral safety for sticks, 69½ may or may not have one..

My 4-speed Cobra has no neutral safety, while automatic Fairlane does, I know harnesses are same.
