Someone put a Hurst shifter on my car before I got it. Lets just say that the bushings in it are beyond worn out and the shifter is very sloppy. I do not know exactly which Hurst shifter is in the car so I do not know which one to order bushings for. I'm wondering if anyone might know which shifter this most likely is so I could get the correct bushings for it. The car is a 73 Comet and has a 200 I-6 and a three speed on the floor. Thanks.

get a picture. what bushings are you referring to? the ones on the shift linkage? if so, a hurst „pit pack“ may be what you need.

Here's some pictures. I'm referring to whatever bushings would eliminate the extreme slop in the shifter. I've never worked on one so I'm not very educated as to what I need.

I agree....looks like a factory shifter with a Hurst boot.

Hey guys, sorry for the delayed response, I have been super busy recently. Turns out that it's a good thing I took the boot off and looked before I ordered parts. I found that the bolts that hold the shifter on had become a little loose. I tightened them up and a lot of the slop went away. Thank y'all for all of the help and info.
