I'd rather have an imperfect car that I did myself rather than pay for perfection. Anybody can write a check.
Then there are the few who can create Perfection all their own..... Unfortunatley I'm not one of those guys and have meet only a handful who can. I don't have any money either so I guess what I am saying is I agree with Mavaholic and Blown76 on this.
Very nice looking. the comfort weave is not what my seats came with in the centers, i suspected that when we talked about it last. the wifes cougar came with that type of comfort weave. ill have to take pictures of my old material and see if you can identify it because i still havent found a match. not that it matters too much cause my seats are already recovered.
I hear ya lonnie. I was being a little dramatic in my reply Even so, youre right. I plan on building my Maverick with no help from anyone, top to bottom. It wont be a show car, but it will be fast, and all one color....eventually
i was the one that bought the front seat coverings, im waiting to recieve the...your seat looks like the inner pattern is cloth? is it........i hope not. My back seat is fairly close to grabber llokin material so im gonna leave it...i think about 5 years ago i had it covered in comfort weave material for 69 mach but its pretty close
It is not cloth ... it is comfortweave ... basically instead of using thread they used thin strands of vinyl to create the material. I guess it could be called vinyl cloth ...
looking at the front seats, the head rest area dont look like they have the right curvature as the originals, i bought the foam from mustangs unlimited as well....did u compare original foam to aftermarket?
It's tough comparing repop foam to 33 year old foam. Side by side they looked the same to me. The Ford Parts book also lists the foam as being the same for Mustangs and Mavericks ... Actually the Mustangs show a Maverick Part Number for the Foam .. D1DZ. Which front seats are you referring to? Mustang Comfortweave does not look like Maverick Comfortweave. The Maverick weave is actually interwoven strands of grey and black ... that's why the inserts are not as dark as the black vinyl ... If the front seats are as nice as the back you got an awesome deal on those covers ... I was going to bid on them as well and store them away ... but it got a little to rich for me ... Here is the repop foam in my seats ...
