I didn't know that! So, before they were like foglights or something? I don't think that plastic lense would resist the heat from a foglight or was it made of glass or thick acrylic?

Sport lights were only on 1972 LDO's and 1971-1972 Maverick Grabbers. Not a very bright bulb. Nothing like today's fog lights....so no real heat.

    Cool

Oh your 17? and building a Maverick looking forward to driving it your senior year...how Awesome!

My son, Sam and myself are building him a 73 Grabber clone and the goal is to have it ready for his senior year, you will get alot of attention if it's anything like where we live, hardly any young people are doing old school cars anymore but when his was running before we pulled the motor to rebuild every where we went young and old alike flocked to it..........old school cars never go out of style...you go man:clap:

Thanks a lot! Me and my dad have been working hard the past year trying to get the car ready it is just so much fun! I love muscle cars and I wish there were more kids my age that did! We go to the big Ocean City car cruise in May and this is the first year I can drive my car down! It's is a lot of fun we drive a 68 fastback, 70 Hemi barracuda and my maverick 10 hours to cruise with about 3000 cars it's a blast! Defiantly recommended!:)
