That is a great price for an intake that rare.

 

That's what I thought. I could grab it but I'd never run it so no point. Would be cool though!

 

If it were on my car, I would want to leave the hood off.....but then the carburetor pirates would have easy access. Have not seen one that cheap though.

 

That is a great buy for that manifold if no cracks. Two of them on e-bay at $1,200 each.

 

I bought one years ago thinking I would put it on one of my cars but it never happened. It is still sitting in the shop as a nic-nac.

 

Would it run rich? Would you need a very lumpy Cam to run it?

 

The Chevy 302 Z28s had that type of cross ram manifold as a dealer installed option.

 

I would guess it would get smaller CFM 4 bbl, the runners dont look huge, there is no heat riser?.....I dont think I would want that on a daily driver, but I think it would work on a mild to medium build? I have enough trouble with a single holley though and I dont want two!

 

Saw one of those on a mid-60's Falcon at a car show a few years ago.

 

A couple 350 cfm carbs

 

Convert it to fuel injection and put (not huge) throttle bodies on it and I bet it would run great. It would allow you to use the long runner length. You might be able to hide the injectors and rails under the wings on each side.
Disguise it with an old school oval air cleaner.

 

A pair of these and you wouldn't have any fuel rails or visible injectors. You can get them in gold now so they look like Holley carbs:
