I have one of those big car storage bags. You unzip it, lay it out on the floor, drive the car on the bottom and zip it up. It comes with these little bags of some kind of material ( I forget what it's called ) to absorb moisture. It does keep the car clean and dry, but I hardly ever use it for two reasons. First, you have to drop the antenea down into the fender so the weight of the bag does not bend it over. That's a minor thing. The main reason I stopped using it was because the bag traps all the gas fumes inside it. One year I had my Maverick stored in the bag all winter and when spring came and I opened the bag, the smell of gas fumes just about knocked me off my feet. The car was not leaking, it was just normal venting from the gas cap. It took days to air the car out. I still like the car bag idea, but if it is air tight and has no fan to circulate the air, it needs some way to allow the gas fumes to excape.

Sounds like a good place for that giant bread tie ;). Just leave the cap kinda exposed...

I have a catalog somewhere where you can order a capsule that has an air circulating fan box to stop that kind of problem.

The material in the little bags was likely a desiccant to remove moisture. You can also use a product such as DampRid from your local grocer or hardware store.
I never thought about the gas fume issue.

Could use a couple of boxes of baking powder for any other orders.

I've been having the same pissy mewd issues this spring an I drive my Mavericks on a daily basis. It just seems that there is waaaaayyyy toooo much to do and way to little time to do it. Grass has needed cutting 2 x a week, and then it rains and needs cutting again. While the "To Do list" gets bigger and bigger. I did finally get over to the tire place and got two tires put in the yellow Maverick before I had a blow out. I had been putting it off to get other stuff done and the other day I was checking and there were steel cords poking through on one of the front tires. While I was there getting the two back tires replaced I made an apppointment to get the camber adjusted (front end alignment) so that it will quit wearing the inside tread off the front tires. I have to take it over for that appointment next Saturday morning between 7:00 and 9:00 and drop it off then beat feat back home to have a Yard Sale to get rid of some of the damn junk in the shed and Garage so I will have room to keep the needed things out of the weather, and of course the grass needs to be cut again and I need to finish putting in the garden that I wasn't going to put in, but everyone threw a big hissy fit because I have "always put in a garden" and then I need to change the oil in the yellow Maverick and the truck and the Van and then there is the hunney do list of things that need to be done in the house.

Yeah I have been in the same pissy mewd since spring started. I wish mine was as simply to get rid of as unwrapping my car and going for a drive. LOL... I hope getting the Stallion out for a spin changes your mewd Dan. Actually if I had a car that nice and a place I could put it away for the winter to keep it that nice I guess getting it out from under wraps and taking it for a drive might put me in a better mewd too.

Good luck. I hope you get it out and can have a little fun with it
