go to a truck stop or a place that sells good polish, try SPEEDY POLISH, it's $$ but works really well at cleaning the rust and pits out of aluminum, chrome and cleaning SS

Going to get the rest of the parts sometime next week :yahoo:I'll keep you posted on the progress of parts. Then the motor just needs to get put together and then it'll be ready to be dropped in :D

Pretty bad :( It was in accident before I bought it and was repainted and stuff. The trunk has about a 6 (?) inch rust hole right through it. The passenger door has like a 6inch oval patch of where rust is coming through the paint. You can tell where they sprayed the new paint against the old paint. They ripped off the vinyl roof and left all the glue on top.

I mention in another thread.. I was thinking of just trashing this one and buying a better one to work with, but I've decided to keep it and send it to the body shop. I'd rather spend the money and save this one then send it to the crusher :bouncy:

That is too bad...this side really looks like a fine car. Hope it isn't as bad as you make it out to be and it can be readily fixed...

Like that color, too, is it as maroon in real life as it looks in the pic?

I found a site selling the Cobra Wheels in black. Here are the specs:

    Wheel Size: 17x9"
    Wheel Backspacing:
    6.02"
    Wheel Offset:
    +26mm
    Bolt Pattern:
    5 x 4.5 inch

Will those fit on my Maverick? With the backspacing and all or no? (I do have 5 lug axles)
