Reproduction parts aren't always good, as i've discovered the hard way they aren't always repoduced right but sometimes though they're all ya got thats one of the drawbacks of dealing with an old car. It did not take me long to realize this after buying my Mav. As for the Floor Panels not being worth it, I think the Auto Krafters CEO needs his head examined Floor Panels would be a great asset. I mean they do fenders and quarter panels why not floor panels. I would probably even buy some if they were made depending on how much they were. I really need to replace or at least try to fix the ones just under where the back seat passengers feet would rest the one on the passenger side is has got rust that has eaten a hole in it the drivers side I kinda fixed with Epoxy Putty but nothing could match new metal. I'm sure if enough people demand it they'll start reproducing them after all as they say money talks :).

When I spoke to him I brought up the point that the quarter skin is already reproduced and they sell it. How hard would it be to just do the lower section? He basically was the most disinterested person at the booth. I receintly went to their open house/car show. Again their only interest seemed to be to get you in their store to buy something. Not 1 employee stopped by to talk to me about my car (I was the only Maverick) or the guy's truck beside me and I didnt see them at any of the others.

I bought a pair of Autokrafter's rear quarters once.....once! They were terrible. Their part number was the same as Sherman & Associates had in their catalog, so maybe that's who they get them from. Didn't fit right, front corners at the door edge and rear corners where the spoiler extensions mount weren't sharp bends like OEM, sail panel was the wrong shape, and the ridge that goes right down the middle of the panel and around the wheelwell didn't line up with the ridge on the door. I guess you get what you pay for. Found a place listed in Hemming's in Detroit that had NOS rear quarters still in the Ford box from 1972. Cost $1200 for the pair but they fit perfectly and took very little massaging to get them perfectly straight.

Also keep in mind how many different floorpans that they had in a Maverick throughout the years. If they were made, I doubt if 200 pairs would even be sold...ever. They just quit making the V-8 frame-mounts due to a "lack of interest". Make floorplans....I would bet..... never.
