Hello Mav Community. I wanted to see if anybody could help me identify the part that connects to the header. I attached a photo and it is the piece that had the black knob looking thing, it is broken due to rust so it has been dead weight up to now, so I wanted to know if I really need it?

Secondly, does anybody know where I can find a 1. header that fits the 250 inline? 2. an air filter/with housing that fits the stock carb? I currently have a makeshift one.

    Thanks!

That looks like part of an egr/ thermactor tube. I don't think you need it unless you have emissions laws to follow. Should be able to find a decent after market header and also check with the classic Mustang vendors. They sell an open chrome air cleaner like the old 289 HiPo Mustangs that fit the single barrel carb. - Matt
