Oh yeh!! Had a 88 Cherokee we stripped and did PPg Black. Wet sand and polish. It was amazing. The reflection in the paint was so perfect like a mirror that you couldnt even tell what color the vehicle was from a side view. Very impressive paint. VERY VERY black if that makes sense. Not all Blacks are truly Black in color. Most of the new Blacks are crap and look grey compared to the PPG. I much prefer the Black in a urethane vs base clear. I find the clear takes away from the Black especially when it gets some wash marks.

I'm on the fence between 3 choices for my car.

Flat Black, which tends to look dirty all the time.
Gloss Black, which would be nice, but is sort of "plain"
Or repainting it the factory Silver/grey it is now which looks somewhat classy, and not too common with older cars these days. Most classics I see now are either black, Orange, yellow or blue. I'm not a fan of red (statistics prove the color to be a ticket magnet)

I really like the grabber green with black graphics but.... while I was washing my 2002 explorer sport, I think I like the metalic red it is painted. I saw a 57 chev painted that color at a show a couple of years ago and it won best of show.

I can't decide. I don't like blue with the blue interior.... too much blue. What other colors look good with a blue interior?

I want to paint mine Kona Blue Metallic. It's the deep blue of the newest Mustangs. I want white grabber stripes.

I actually have Mopar code j-6 sassy grass, here at my home in my bedroom closet waiting for me to get the body work done, which I will be engaged in tomarrow. I'm getting close, and I hope to have it painted in 2-4 weeks. I have a reflective black, trimmed in orange '71 grabber stripe kit, that I ordered from Pheonix Graffix, also in my closet.:tiphat:

I voted silver and would have black accents 'cause that look is hard to beat, easy to keep looking clean, and doesn't show body imperfections like dark colors do.

But I haven't really decided ... a pearlish coppery orange with black accent keeps poppin' in my head (along with a couple other looks)

The wife's already given her 2 cents for paintng it purple like the old mopars had but I'm not feelin' that one ... yet.

I'm stuck between two shades of blue, but two totally different schemes for the car. One would be a bright/royal blue, black stripes, mach 1 spoiler, black grille, black rims, and basically no chrome on the car. The other would be a very dark blue and it would probably lean more towards a standard muscle car look, but I could incorporate a few of the other things in this scheme.
