I can tell you that , well for me It depends...almost always with how many colors? Including window glass, all trim, bumpers, mirrors grill , Wheels, And I have found to my personal tastes too many colors CLASH
When you have each of those a different color...I am doing my car All THE SAME COLOR SCHEME. 1) I first -drew pictures of a blank maverick/comet and made copies...You can trace a picture and do the same if you have no drawing skills....
Then colored with pencils and paint markers until I came up with several potential designs ...Remember there is always colors you cannot get rid of like :Tires, But do you want a white letter tire or all black? and tire size and wheel selection will all play a part in the overall look and may change it drastically. Personally I would use more than one color and it would be a paint scheme so I could not participate in choosing one color on the vote. Use any candy colors or chrome colors. :burnout:

    Either yellow or orange.
A nice 'poke your eye out' version of either.
    I voted orange...

    Color Choice

Both of mine are Grabber Blue and that color rocks but I have to say that whoever has that really nice Black with Red interior car in the photo section has one more good looking ride. I voted Black and the next car I build after I finish my 72 Comet will be Black with Red interior with all the options that I would have walked into the Ford dealership in 72 and ordered.I'm going to put a T-5 in it with just a 4bl 302 and drive it until they bury me.... I'm already collecting parts for the build :bouncy:

I'm thinking white with blue stripes. I live in Florida, and white cars stay so much cooler in the summer.

I have a green maverick and if I don't want to do all the work finding the interior I think the best bet would be off white and green accents
