I'd love to be able to track down my first car, a Maverick, but I sold it 31 years ago in SoCal to a migrant family that used it to drive back and forth between their family in Mexico and work in Cali. It's probably baking it's bones in the Mexican desert somewhere. I don't think I've got a record of it's VIN, My mom might have some records of it stashed away in her past files, since she bought it new in 1970. I still have one of the original Cali license plates though....plates stay with the car in Cali, but I took the front one off when it got bent hitting a high curb. Still has the original dealer's plate frame from Gould Ford with it.
I just got off the phone with the original owner and He no longer has any old registrations or even a picture of the car. At least there aren't too many old comets in the area im looking.
The original owner asked me not to give out his original address, I asked him for it when I was on the phone with him.

There's a four door orange mav on the post im at and a blue 2dr. I may try to grab one of those if attempts to find my first fail. It'd have to be for a good price and it'd have to be a 74, so I'd be able to have it re-done to look like what mine did.
