ingine turns over but no spark

    How about, "Is the gear down inside that hole?" Maybe the cam is with the timing chain. :biglaugh:

    put that oil pump back in that i had forgot to do 5 years ago. good thing the bolts were in their place. boy was getting that oil pan off hard! getting it in wasn't so bad when i determined that i should jack the frame up a bit. tomorrow i will get the timeing chain and sprackets, another thing that i had forgot to put on 5 years ago -going to get a pro to come over to time it for me.

    but i'm afraid of the original problem even with all the parts put in -the engine starts for a few seconds then quits. but maby that i have a new coil it will work.

    What was the reason that all these parts removed from the engine?

    I'm very confused. Nobody removes an oil pump and then re-installs a pan. Or removes a timing chain and re-installs the cover. I'm completely lost. Is this a joke?

    In the maverick manual it clearly states do not work while under the influence . Also take plenty of pictures!:tiphat: :drink:keep notes too- hope this helps.
