installed hood scoop

    Looks good! So how effective is that traditional hood scoop in providing cold air intake? Does it have to be a certain size for maximum CFMs, or does it matter?
    Someone told me that they were only effective if you were traveling over 100mph, which I thought was a load of beans.

    Im running an open filter on my 250 with a hood scoop. it makes a diffrence, you can definatly tell its quicker even on my stock engine.

    On a Mav not much air gets into the opening of a forward facing short scoop. The angle at the front of the hood causes the air to go right over top of it. Didn't stop me from putting one on too though. :D
