Installing a water temp gauge

    Nope...mine doesn't have a fitting. I looked up water outlets on Autozones website and it looks like if I order one for a non A/C equiped 250 it has the fitting....$6.99

    Sounds like you've got it figured out. Don't know about you but I do like having the in your face idiot light in case I'm not checking gauges like I should.

    I bought a black Sunpro temp gauge today and ordered the water outlet. Hopefully it will be the one with the fitting in it. I'm not real fond of the way the mechanical gauge's line looks...maybe some small plastic conduit could sort of hide it.

    i got the chrome version and it started pitting after a couple of months :bs:

    Just a follow up. I got the new housing (ordered for a 250 non a/c from Autozone..$6.99) and it was exactly what I needed to get the mechanical gauge installed....and keep the dummy light.
