Not really sure where to post this on the site. Anyway I am looking for the rivets used to hold the intake baffle on. In the diagram it is labeled 92060-S and not serviced. They resemble a button headed rivet, but the shanks are knurled with a slight twist. Are these unobtanium specialty fasteners or something that can still be acquired?

I'd throw that boat anchor in the scrap pile and get a 4-barrel manifold made of aluminum.
You're already going to all the trouble of removing that one...

I picked up a factory Boss 302 manifold for my future evil schemes, and these are needed for that. I would not use a cast iron 2v intake unless it was the only thing on Earth that would work.

Hopefully the rivet still fits the hole or else you might have to drill and tap a few screw holes.

It looks like this intake has never been bolted on or used. All the threads and holes look virgin. It is stamped d1ze and there was not a baffle attached, so I assume it was possibly an unboxed NOS piece. I just need to determine the proper length and diameter rivets for the baffle.

FYI for anyone else looking. Found it here with some other goodies:

I would love to hear about said schemes when they are ready to be revealed. I keep running in circles with my own evil Clevor schemes.....but am getting closer to a refined direction....I think. Maybe.

My intention is to acquire a Dart 363 shortblock with correct pistons for a Boss 302 top end, but keep it wife and kid friendly around 350-400hp and a rev limit of 6K. There are other things I am trying to square first, like a 9 inch 3.25 posi differential and in tank fuel pump for carburetor. It is also about the old school cool factor, open the hood see the Boss 302 heads and valve covers. I already have the valve covers, heads, intake and exhaust manifolds, but am still lacking time, money, and talent.

Are you looking at potentially doing future upgrades? Seem like you'll spend a bunch of money on that engine to just make 350-400 horse when a 347 would easily get you there for way less.

You are correct, but it is not all about h.p. for me. A 347 or the current 302 are more than adequate for performance. Like I said, for me a big part of it is the old school cool of having a pseudo Boss 302 in a somewhat period correct car. I guess it is the same reason I still like worked over early 351W heads on the 302. Are there better heads available, absolutely, but I get some satisfaction from making improvements to the old iron. A 363 short block gives it a foundation to take the performance way down the road, if the kid wants to do that someday. The added cubic inches will allow the heads to be something more than ornamental and not as doggy down low like a factory Boss 302 can be, Boss 351 performance in a Boss 302 package.

Figured there was a reason even though you really don't need one in the hobby we love so much!

There's definitely a place for massaging old school parts. Cars built that way have a sort of cool all their own.
