Cragar SS's, 15x7 all around. I have 215-60's in the front and 255-60's in the rear. Stock ride height and I think it looks sweet. Lee "THE MAV" Richart
Lee, you brag, but when I look at your images, I see a bunch of "pro-jection" stuff, and no pics of your cragars. So POST PICS OF YOUR CRAGARS!!!
Those are aftermarket Bullitt wheels, not genuine Ford Racing wheels. I'm not too sure I like the idea of some offshore wheels, from who knows where, made from who knows what...same with no name tires...Wal Mart sells those Nexen tires.
I love how those look on that car, give it the "hitting the strip on the weekend" look.. Are those original mags, or are they replicas? I have two sets of originals but they don't look right on my Maverick, I guess because it is red.. The center spokes in my originals aren't dark like that.
First one 15x6 & 15x8 torque thrust II's 215/70/15 and 275/60/15 Second 14x4 and 15x8 steelies 195/75/14 and 255/60/15 Third 15x3.5 and 15x8 Draglites 185 VW tires and 26x8 M/T slick.
Nice!.. I like em' all, Derek. IMHO, you covered all the bases there with 1 for show.. 1 for cruising.. and 1 for go. As for those cheap wheels. I and a few others have bought some of them through the years with hit and miss success. Biggest problems are cheap clearcoats(regardless of their advertising), poor chrome adhesion, balancing issues, and runout. Most recent example of "you get what you pay for" was a buddy with a 74 454 Chevelle who bought some from Summit late last year and had to send 2 out of the 4 back. After some squabbling.. they RMA'd/sent 2 replacements out and another one was so far out of balance he had to send that one back too. Took him 7 wheels and more than 2 weeks to get his car back down on the ground and rolling again. IMO, they are pretty decent for the money he paid.. but after all that he said.. "never again".
15x8 rear 3.5 back space 15x7 front tires are 275 60 15 rear and 215 60 15 front Had to roll the rear fenders a bit
Here's my old combo. Welds 15x5 front with 185/70-15s and 15x7 245/60-15s in rear. They rubbed the wheel opening lip because I had a 68 Mustang rear end in to though.
Got my tires mounted over the weekend. Went with a 245/45 Hankooks on 17x7 American Racing rims with a 4" backspace.
