I was thinking about that today, and I guess you could cut up another set of lights, and weld in another bucket in place of the blank. I think it would look pretty good, if you cut the bezel divider to give it a solid look. Hmmm, if I only had a welder...
Bring them on up here. We've got a big old Miller tig welder in the garage, and my dad's been doing it since 1984...
Jamie; might take you up on that. I have some old bezels and buckets, and it might make it interesting to have another light for the brakes. BTW, still have your book.
John; frenching the lights would be really sweet! But, it being a 69.5, the gas tank is in the way. Had to cut a tiny bit out of the trunk pan to get these in. And, the tank brace is really close to the drivers side light. Great idea, if I could figure out a way to do it.
Doesn't look bad but I'm not a fan of backup lights on these cars. Heck, I don't back up so I don't even need them!
aw man it looks like crap now, how about i send you some cash for shipping and you send me the lower valence and tail lights and ill send you my 69.5 lower valance and tail lights..... j/k i actually love how it looks found a new project to add to the list.
I like it. I didnt notice the reverse lights at first, even tho I read your post. I was to busy looking at the tail lights. I like how those came out. When I got to looking at the reverse lights. I also think they would look better in a smaller size, but to each their own and you work with what you got. A picture w/ the tag in place would be helpful to me as well
I too like the all-red lights. Good job. In my opinion (and that's all that really matters here, yah?), I think the smaller Mustang round lights would look gooder. I still love that green. It never gets old.
I put the tag on the car, and it does make quite a difference. Here is a pic. Thanks for the comments, and it is good to get the input from all of you. I like the green too, Rick, and next year I am going to have it redone and refreshed. Thanks again,
