Actually I dont see it affecting original hoods. ...if I want one without the huge looking peak that the hood stencil or graphic will fit on there's only ONE choice. Original.

Don't get me wrong still glad to see it.

Glad to see this stuff materializing! It could be just a teaser/pre-production piece for SEMA. I agree with the body lines being a bit too exaggerated, even the front ends of the scoop lines seem to go a bit too far to the front. BUT, this is exciting, awesome news for us as enthusiasts.

Although I may not need them right now, I will accept quality reproduction parts for our cars with open arms!! Thanks to those in the background who no doubt worked tirelessly to make this a reality!! :tiphat::thumbs2:

Just spoke to Dynacorn and the Grabber Hoods won't be available until beginning of 2016 .. they're being made in
    Taiwan and prices aren't available at this time .. ( I'd wager they'll be in the neighborhood of $500.00 / $ 600.00
when they tack on the " shipping" costs to America . Still wouldn't be a bad deal if the quality is good . We'll see eh?
I'd buy two if the metal isn't tissue- thin.. but usually the import stuff is of a minimal thickness.

Glad to see a big company like Dynacorn investing in the Maverick, it's a good sign.

So they'll fit just as terrible as the Mustang reproduction hoods & fenders.

Glad to see more items being made for our cars!

Also interested in final pricing, are they offering the scoop inserts and seeing one fitted on a car.

That's exactly what I was going to say, there is nothing like real Ford parts usually aftermarket parts never fit right and are paper thin. If you ever used some of the repop mustang parts metal and also interior parts you know what I'm talking about normally garbage. You just can't beat the quality of real parts.

Considering that one OEM Maverick part to another didn't fit the same I would say it would be difficult for any aftermarket part to be a perfect drop in fit.

When I got my car I was given two trunk lids, one fit spot on perfect and the other was terrible no matter what adjustments I made.

    Just my .02.

:90: I wonder.....with more manufactures showing interest in the Mavericks and with more repo stuff becoming available do you think the Maverick values will start to rise ?. Example more repo, more restorations, more cars at shows and more manufactures at trade shows might bring more attention to the Mavericks....

I think they already have increased in value. Some of the cars that I have noticed that people are picking would not have gone for more than $500.00. Now people are paying a couple of thousand of dollars.

Just check your local Craigslist, those $300-$800 cars are gone already.

You are right. Most of the stuff out there is scrap and not worth even looking at.

It is nice to see the repop stuff being produced and the Maverick being supported by vendors. I did like the hunt and the rarety of finding a grabber hood.

I'd like to see the value of our cars increase also , but I think it's going to take a national TV show or segment of a show illustrating just what can be " accomplished" with these cars before any real interest can be generated. Jay Leno has already been questioned about a Maverick and he was quoted as saying " not going to happen" .. Jay has more than one FORD product in his stables .. Mustangs , Cobras , etc. but he expressed no interest in the Maverick. It would take someone like Chip Foose or other National TV show to do a Maverick which would demonstrate the terrific "potential" of these cars.. In the meantime .. I'm enjoying MY cars and I appreciate their intrinsic value also.
I've yet to take any of my cars OUT in public and not get the " stares " , compliments , and inevitable question asked " What YEAR is it ?" .. The person asking the question usually doesn't have a clue as to the BRAND of the car , so the
question on the year usually generates an answer like .. " Its a 74 Comet , or a 72 Maverick .. Just for grins , I usually just tell them ONLY the YEAR ..and wait for the NEXT question .. WHAT is it ? To the point. ANY reproduction parts made for these cars is a PLUS and I'm grateful SOMEONE is taking an interest. Just my opinion.

Here's a possible mega Maverick build. No details on exactly what they are going to do with it but Greening Auto Company doesnt do anything halfway. Just scroll to the bottom.
