    Been another long while since I’ve been on here, just recently picked up a 72 comet, and been working a lot on the grabber In this post, got a new cage and tube column installed.hoping to go testing soon.

    Wow cage looks really strong that should keep you safe if the unspeakable should happen. What times did you get the Grabber down to ? It is always nice to see a fast Maverick FORD powered and with a c4 thats almost unheard of

    Yes it is thank you. We are true Ford guys through and through. We had the old combo running 9.30s and we were barely leaning on it, but since have upgraded to a new combo that should run mid 8s with ease and hope to put it in the 7s before too long, but are transmission builder is curious how long the c4 will hold up, it is a stock case. I guess we will find out lol

    Getting into the 8s with it should give cause for the builder to open it up again, but at that point you will probably have to consider how many passes you get out of it and how many you get out of something else, and pick the one that is least expensive per pass. Eventually you will find the least expensive route, but I doubt going that fast will ever be cheap, lol.

    That’s exactly what we’re taking into consideration, we would love to stay all Ford drivetrain but reliability may drive us to a powerglide and yes I couldn’t agree more, either c4 or glide they all get expensive lol
