My dad gave me the car when I was 18-19, so it was better than taking the bus. At that time, my 76 Maverick rusted away and I only got my 74 and 75 Maverick in the summer/fall of 1996. The Subaru died in the winter of 1997 and I started using my 1975 Maverick in the very early spring of 1997. Time sure does fly.....

    Thank you Sir.
Those old Subaru wagons just keep goin' and goin'. A friend of mine has one with 250,XXX miles - still on the original engine and trans.

    I'll take that as a compliment. ;)

All the best guys & gals!(y)

That new Subaru Impreza WRX STI sedan (with the hood scoop) will unfortunately blow most (not all) of our Mavericks away, but it's an ugly P.O.S. and it costs something like $36,000...

Understood. I used to be a Ford man myself a few years back. Owned a '00 SVT Lightning which introduced me to the world of drag racing.

Prices start at $33,000 and go up from there. Yeah, it's fast because it doesn't weigh anything (because it's so small) and looks absolutely hideous. Of course some Mavericks look hideous too.

300 lbs of torque at 4000 RPM? That's impressive for a 4-cylinder but my Maverick makes that, but it weighs a lot more... If one were to put even 1/4th of that much money into a Maverick (or Camaro, Mustang or anything else), it would be faster and look better...

Ends at the end of this month. The #1 car at the end of the month will be the featured car on the front page for the month of November. There's currently a black beetle on there.

    Let's hope...

That things are kept nice and fair. I know that on my site (www.subaruforester.com) we don't encourage proxy server manipulation. I simply vote once a day from work, and sometimes once a day from home (if my fiancee hasn't beat me to it!!)

Look at it this way, you guys will be sure to have the December spot with no one able to compete with you...just in time for Christmas!!

    (y)

I'll even vote for the Maverick in November (provided the SVX is on the feature page).
