we just put in a hard switch or a t valve on the rear line it is under the dash it was easy and when you turned it it was off no problem. the hardest part was the rerouting. i used some of the stanless flex from the brake lines by the calipers i had left over from another car.

Hey guys...I got my line lock installed today, but didn't get to finish it due to 1) no more brake fluid and 2) stripped out bleeder plugs. It "clicks" and the light lights up, so I assume it is working.

WARNING--the Summit lock looks like good quality material, but the instructions suck!

I had to call tech support once, on hold for 10 minutes, NOT an 800 number.

Anyway, my solenoid had 4 holes, two in front, and one on each side. One on the side was plugged, so I plugged the other on the opposite side (I blew into each hole and then touched a hot wire to see if the air stopped to determine which holes would block off). Does anyone know if the two holes in the front are the ones I am "supposed" to use?

I have only rear brake pressure, and tested it, and of course, it rolled (since I did not bleed the front brakes), but I could feel a "little" less resistance when I let off the button.

By the way, I tried to install the button in various locations, and nothing felt right. I ended up sliding it over the turn signal arm, at the very end with the button facing forward. THen with my steering hand at 10 o'clock, I just pull back on the signal arm and I am engaged. There is no extra wire having to rotate around the steering wheel, and no wires going to the shifter on the floor. Nice clean install, hardly any wires showing.

Anyone have any other suggestions for button mount?

i like the hurst one that slips on the shifter just under the shift ball. other car has the b&m T handle with the button on the end. both work well for us. i prefer the one just under the ball. i dont like the ball with a switch on top. too easy to push button accidentally.

Can you post a picture of the Hurst button? I really wanted my button to be on the shifter, but couldn't find the right place to put it where it wasn't in the way. I would be willing to swap switches and buy one that mounts better.

I have the B&M Street Demon with the Chrome ball at the top and trigger in front.

I have the B&M switch on the shaft of my B&M rachet shifter. It is mounted just below the ball and is held by 2 zip ties. I really like it there.

I have mine in the same place.
    Very confortable for me.

Just to add to whats already been said, I would not use the line lock to launch the car.....I tried it  I could not get my finger and foot to work together...I either let go of the switch to quick (and bottom bulbed) or I mashed the gas before I let go of the switch  that was an experience :evilsmile
For me its just alot easier and more consistant for my feet to work together.

My switch came with a rubberband attached to the bottom, so I slipped it over the turn signal. I will try that for a while, but I bet I could unsrew the ball off my shifter and it would fit right on there without twist ties or anything. As long as my shift "trigger" doesn't hit it when I go into 3rd.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think it might feel more "natural" being placed on the shifter.

For future reference, use the bottom front line (closest to the mount) for your incoming line from the master cylinder. Then use one of the top side lines for your outgoing line to the brakes.

    Works wonderfull now.

I also installed HELP brand "one-man" brake bleeding nipples (supposed to have a one-way check valve inside). I doubted that they would work, but they worked fine. Better have, since I paid $12 for the two of them!!!
