Some of the later Hooker headers have an oval tag on them and some others have a number stamped into one or both of the flanges. If you post some pictures, someone is bound to recognize them.

As far as the dent/hole, I think that is the is the jacka$$ factor...:16suspect

I've discussed with my dad about making long tube headers that fit power steering/column shift Mav's...we have the resources, just not sure how much interest there would be when you figure how much a set of custom headers would cost :p

The dent is more then likely to allow the pitman arm to clear when you turn left. I have the same thing because i couldn't turn left until i dented it

Ahhh I wouldnt really care If it didn't backfire when I go down the highway occasionally. Depends on how fast I go. Do the 6901's have sufficiant clearance with all the p/s stuff? There is a drop bracket on my car already.

I used 65 mustang hedman engine swap headders on my 351w 72 maverick. To make the driver side work, I had to remove the steering box and master cyclinder. Then take a big hammer and dimple the firewall on both sides. Put the steering box back in from the top' bolt the master cylinder back in' bleed the brakes The pitman arm will bump the outside hedder tube, you can dimple the tube and that's it. I still have stock shock towers no cutting anywhere.
