Tough parts to find. Anyone have a source for these?

I have seen more Bobcat wagons than coupes, and not many of them either. The wagons have completely different taillights.

You are correct, I just couldn’t find a picture of one without backup lights on short notice.

He can’t find Bobcat lights, Comet lights are everywhere and look much better.

The "Canadian Option" is a myth that Chip from CAMEO had started. We had a pretty good laugh when we first met on Power Tour 98 when he saw that I had done this mod, just like his own Comet that he was driving. We both did this independently, no prior contact.\

You cut four Comet taillight lenses to make two without the backup lens.

Back to our regularly scheduled programming .... BOBCAT TAILLIGHTS ....sorry .....

Here's my take on the Bobcat tail lights. They are virtually impossible to find, the only set I have seen locally were recently for sale still attached to a very nice survivor. Maverick/Pinto lights are very plentiful so why not build them? If you were to take Eric's light build info and do just what he did you could have a set. Here's my super crude prototype, I almost bought one more set of tail lights to give it a shot but the efforts would be better spent working on my car rather than a solution for something I don't want. That and Eric has already shown it can be done!:thumbs2:

That's another really good solution...particularly since Bobcat lights are pretty elusive. Bobcats didn't sell nearly as well as Pintos in the first place.
