I am curious about ground clearance with long tube headers. If you have them on your car and would be willing to take a picture from the side close to ground level I would appreciate it. I would like to identify a set that tuck up close to the floor. I would love to see pictures like z28th1s has in his signature (see attached) along with the brand of headers you have. Thanks in advance, I appreciate the help!

Car is put away for the winter so I can't get a nice side view for you, but here is a look up at mine.

Ceramic Tri-Y's, not an easy fit but I just had to have them ………..
The lowest part is the H-pipe fitted around the mount for the T-5

I hand built the whole exhaust and am very happy with the way it turned out and the clearance I think is great.

Thats the best clearance I have seen with headers, you will never get that much with long tube headers

These are Hooker #6901 with a home built 2 1/4" dual exhaust. The pitman arm contacts the header tube but has never been a problem. My exhaust system clears the scissor jack of my lift with no problems.

My car has Hooker long tubes with a Dr. Gas X-pipe and all the tubing is 3 inch from the headers to the over the rear axle tailpipes. I have put Grab-a-Trak lowering springs on the front of my car since the picture that you posted was taken. I still seem to have decent ground clearance.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback everyone. I like my cars low and have always had issues with unwanted contact. I think the 6901's will work out for me, they don't look to hang near as low as the headers my Pontiac did.

That would be a deal breaker right there, with the rife height I have in mind those wouldn't live very long! Thanks for posting.

These are ceramic coated Headman. They are nicely tucked and have never had any issue with scraping. Don't have a side view but this pic shows the installation. IMG_5258.JPG

Did you install the headers or had them installed? If so, what issues, if any, were used to overcome the issues?

Headman’s moto is “built to fit”. Very easy install if you remember to put the drivers side on first and passenger side second. Some installations need a drop down bracket to clear everything on driver side. Cheap and easy to install part. I had one on the shelf so I installed it. I think Summit sells them.

Is your car lowered? I was hoping my Hooker headers were going to be tucked more.
I'm kicking myself for not getting the ceramic coating. Definitely getting it next time.
