So any tips on how much to tighten/what to look for when tightning them? I'll pick some new ones up tomorrow. Thanks.

I have heard bad things about using anything but rubber strut rod bushings on these style suspensions. I think the rods are not strong enough for poly. Big trouble if you break one going down the road.

The company sent me some new ones (under warranty). The ones I had they said they were having some trouble with and they changed the material (soft like rubber) and the tooling so they don't crack and break apart again. I replaced the bushings today right after I got them in the mail. Here is the crappiest one. I almost cr*pped my pants when I looked under there and saw this!

What company did you get them from?

I got the complete front end rebuild kit from American Pony. Everything else works great, and I am very pleased! The new kits have the new bushings I just put in, and supposedly they are much better. They were very nice to work with. I talked with some Mustang people with the same front end kit and they had the same problem with the strut rod bushings and the sway bar endlink bushings cracking and breaking. Other than that we are all happy with the kit.

Are your sway bar endlink bushings OK? I have some extras that are poly.

Glad you found the culprit and that it was nothing too major.

Just wish they'd contacted you before you contacted them though.

    Hey Guys!

Rick: Yeah, I would have liked them to contact me, but it's probably too much work for them and they probably figure not many people would contact them about it. Damn right I did, those babies were only a year old!

Max Power: Yeah, my endlink bushings are starting to crack and break, but I have a new set of endlinks to be put on when I do my new front and rear sway bars. Thanks for the offer though! I really appreciate it!

No problem. For some reason Summit sent me extra ones with my bar.
