As I said the other day...I understand whats involved.I have nothing but respect for anyone willing to put out product like this. From what I have seen of your work,It is top notch.Cudas and other muscle mopars as well as muscle cars in general are investments/college funds waiting to mature and paying 1200.00 bucks fits with the value/popularity of those cars. Our Mavericks/Comets have not yet reached un-obtanium status and most of us are cheapskates soo... on that note 700.00 is a bit rich for many of us.If I had it to toss around I would pay what you are asking without blinking an eye.It is awsome to have a person of your skill and ability come into the fold.We are all old schoolers as well and appreciate what you have to offer.I wish you all the luck in the world in your endeavour. Please dont take offense,we are a bit skeptical from time to time.It kinda goes with liking red headded stepchildren like the Maverick and Comet.(were the black sheep I guess)So, welcome aboard.Gald to have you here.
    Pete.

Pete, thanks for the understanding and vote of confidence, skepticism comes with any new territory we venture into or anything new coming to us, just like a new miracle product advertised on TV, my brother and I were considering Billy Maze (the loud mouth OxyClean spokesperson) do a quick plug for us.
Thanks again from John and Randy

I'd go for the "ShamWow" guy ............ he can sell anything! :rofl2:

And you bet "lovers" are expensive ..................... I've had the same one since 1983. You would think I had her paid off by now but she just keeps costing me more and more every year! :biglaugh:

Oh, but just in case she reads this .... you are worth every penny, honey! :)

Now to stay on topic. I could see paying $700 for a quality set of custom made louvers. Might even consider it down the road. The way I see it - that is only like 5 tanks of gas for my pickup truck.

That's why The Maverick Connection is still around after 18 years while others have come and gone in the Maverick parts world. It's not gouging; it's business. You must make a little profit to replentish your inventory and to make the amount of work it takes to operate at least a little bit worthwhile. Ultimately, though, when it comes to Mavericks and Comets, you do it because you love the cars, not for profit, because that, there is very little...

The cost of these handmade louvers is a perfect example of why short runs are difficult, if not impossible, to do feasably. The unit cost is just too high.

I for one am glad to know these louvers are out there and available, though, as I'm sure we all are. I'm sure a few will get sold even at $700 a pop.

MaverickConnect is 100% correct, my brother and I are not out to retire off the sale of a single louver, material cost's are going thru the roof, the man who welds them is not cheap, we are merely covering our cost and being compensated our time, if we didn't need money we sure as hell wouldn't be busting our butts putting these louvers together. :tiphat:

    Oh, here we go...:bs:
There is a difference between going down to the store and buying raw materials to make something tangible with your hands, and the way you do things.

I personally don't think it's a bad price. I'd like to see them in person but from the photos I've seen, they look great. I have two sets of the original louvers and if I "WERE" to offer a set for sale I seriously doubt I would take less than $700 for them. :tiphat:

    Damn cheapo Maverick/Comet people.

I wish the side window louvers faced the right direction(backwards) so I could buy a set of those too. All the ones I've seen face forward like scoops or something...lame.
I also like the metal shades that go on the door windows.
