maverick man, the class i run does not require a roll bar. it does have a 12.00 et limit. at the et finals they allow you to run a .1 below your limit, so i could run an 11.90. however nhra mandates a rollbear and 5 point harness at 11.99 or quicker so to be sure i remained legal i went ahead and had them installed. i too feel safer with them. at firebird when i ran the 12.14 my 60' time was 1.814. when i ran 12.08 at bakersfield the 60' was 1.739. 1/8 mph was 89.45. 1/4 mph was 113.22. i shift at 6000 and cross the finish line about 7000rpm. i think i'd like to change the rear end gears to something a little higher to try to lower the final rpm's. i like the feel of the radials. they seem to be a firmer ride down the track. i still have a lot to learn with them. i think i can still get the et's lower. i've been trying to shorten the burnouts, maybe just cleaning the tires off. on the 5th round at the finals i had to run my track champion. i beat him the last time we met, but i think i heated them up to much and they got slick. i lost .09 in the first 330'. i dialed a 12.09 and ran 12.18 so if i hadn't screwed up i should have been dead on. oh well, that's drag racing.:)
