I recently bought a 76 2dr Maverick with a 250 in it. The engine compartment looks horid, dirty, dingy, grimey, whatever word you got it applies here. After I de-grease the entire mess and get it looking halfway decent what are some things I can replace or even add to make it look better in there? What comes to your mind?
Thats $544.00 with all of the options...quite pricey indeed eh? Any alternative routes? I do like the engine painting...may look into doing something like that.
nothing fancy...but check out the progress my GF's 16yo son has accomplished with very little money and a lot of elbow grease: http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=56055
well if you paint the engine bay at least paint the engine too or it will look like this. this is a 66 chevy i was restoring for a guy after i painted the engine bay and hadn't done the engine yet. its red now View attachment 39676
Thats pretty amazing actually....I think thats the route I am going to start with. Engine bay painting, engine painting, etc. Dragger, the bay looks nice, engine not being painted isnt a terrible thing, just looks a little dull compared to what you probably finished it as.
