I have a 302 in mine with manual steering and it is no problem. I am actually one of those who started off with power steering and decided to remove it for manual. You can feel the road better and you don’t have to worry about leaks. The down side is don’t try parallel parking or a three point turn with manual steering. Other than that it is not a big deal at all.

Actually on my car I had 2 more hoses and OE fluid cooler. I had one going to fluid cooler and return in the system.

The choice between manual vs power is personal. I have not owned or operated a car w/o it in over 40yrs. The last car I had w/ manual was a 61 Galaxie, in the early 70's; if I had it now, it wud get the PS conversion.
I have no issue w/ those who prefer manual. For me, no way I am going back . Whatever it cost me in money and/or time, it was worth it -- IMO.

I'm going with the BORGESON .. AGAIN .. We installed the kit on my Daughters 72 Maverick and NOW we're putting PS on a 70 Maverick .. She is going to be driving BOTH of them eventually and I want to make it as easy as
possible for her . It's no big deal when you've been there before !
