I hear that the brakes should be bled yearly ... that way fresh fluid is always kept in the calipers where the heat breaks it down the quickest ...
Made a pass at the strip once (in the Maverick). Went into high gear and as soon as I did, I saw something out the corner of my eye...it was the brake pedal swinging around. The push rod came out of the MC. Needless to say, pucker factor was a 9. Got 'er slowed down though (killed the fuel and coasted down, put it in low...which was eventful in itself) and made the turn off. You don't realize how important brakes are until you do something like that!
I had the same thing happen in the F-250,replaced the MC and still nothing,had to bleed the system 10 times to get it right,almost hit a new Zgot within 2 inches of its bumper I had always done 2 half pumps then a full one...learn something new everyday
