I wouldn't want to use a 245-45-17 on on 7in wide rim...min rim range is 7.5...for a 50 series 7in is the min range so you're good on your part..

well guess a 8 with a 225 or 235 should still fit wlell as the skinniest 245-50 section width is 9.5 while largest is 10.1

    btw injected
what tire brand do you have and what's youyre rear bs and spacer if you have them. so i can acctually compre youre treadwidth with what i'm concidering..well aslong as its on tirerack lol

i feel the 225 45 would fit better on an 8 in rather then a 235-45 as 225 max width range is 8.5 ..firmer sidewall while only giving up .2 section width, but i feel ya on the sidewall/rim issue for curb shots lol atleast with the 225s i'd know they should fit and could upgrade to 235s next go round

running a Kumho ASX, 245/50R16 (it is listed in tirerack.com, since that's where I got them:)) I bought the wheels a long time ago but I think they are 4" BS, no spacers. I'll try and measure it later if I can get the car in the shop.

No trimming, no body mods at all. My front fender is factory rolled along the top middle. I had 70 and 73 Mavericks that were not rolled, My 72 Comet was also rolled and appeared factory. Front pan clearance is about .5", rear fender has plenty. UCA clearance is around .75" but with 17's you should have more with similar backspacing.

I can get them in that somotomo brand or w/e for a good biit cheaper but I hear they run smaller and they dont get good traction with v8 ccars...rubber must be hard or something..lol
