I never knew about any Mustang valance fitting until Tom Hackman posted his photo early this week

I'll look closer today, Gene. In the photo, my yellow jack stand is right under the frame rail so the cut out would be to the inside of that

Mounting therm down, like in your photo, the end curve of the Impala lights conforms to the end curve of the Maverick rear panel much better (y)

If I was to steal your car, I would have at least, waited until you got it finished before taking it- - -this is a lot of work :biglaugh:

That's kinda what I thought.. Man that is gonna be a tight fit but well worth it. May have to put some smooth/round headed bolts in the shackles or something.. The lights look awsome by the way.

I had to go through 4 local NAPA stores before I found one that stocked the nuts but I finally picked up a bag of 23 nuts for 4.99 :thumbs2:

    Sub Frame Connectors Are In

I got my subframe connectors built and trial fit tonight. I was originally going to build them out of 2 x 2 square tubing but that didn't work out even though my slot in the floor was cut for that size---I know, I should have waited.

I used 1 3/4 inch round tubing .090 wall and they fit nice and snug deep up inside the subframes almost to the firewall. Other than the slots in the rear floor you can see I had one other small slot to make further up front in the floor. Then I drilled 2 holes with my holesaw into the rear crossmember I built for my 4 link brackets. I ran the tubing up the subframes, reinstalled the crossmember and backed the tubing into the holes in the crossmember. I'm going to drill a series of holes in the subframes to plug weld the bars tight and then weld them solid to the rear crossmember.
