Maverick and Mustang exhaust compatibility

    Is that what most Mustangs have on them to make them sound so mean? Sounds almost like the car is growling at you? I love that sound. I was beside one yesterday and trying to figure out why is sounds like that. My F100 has headers abd duels out the back with flowmaster 40's on it but does'bt sound near as good as the newer Mustangs I hear.
    I was wondering if it was the large chrome tips they have on them.

    My dad's 95 GT has an X pipe and flow masters on it. Got that classic Mustang growl.

    I thought that was because of the roller motor. Do our cars sound the same with 40 series flowmaster's & x-pipe too?

    Cam size/type
    CID
    Head material
    Compression ratio
    Exhaust type
    Manifold or header design
    Crossover type, or lack thereof
