    I have a 1970 Mav

On the drivers side it has 3 slots with a raise for a long style armrest

But on the passenger side there is only holes or slots for the smaller armrest
Any suggestions, I was thinking of drilling it out , but it does not have the raised portion.. other thing I was thinking.
Is to cut out a piece of thin , metal, an have it welded on..

I have the longer Torino type armrest , with the chrome covers
And deluxe door panels ; that I would like to install.

My original standard door panels are a bit worn.
And I would like to upgrade from the short type to long. Slender type

Sounds like you have one early door and one late model door. The late model door should have provisions for early & late armrests.
So I would say you have two choices install early armrests or find a junk late model door cut out the mounting points and weld them on your early door, I have done this on my Ranger.
