I have tried it with limited success. I've found that using a company like cafepress.com is a better alternative.
I put my 77 on a T shirt that way. It actually looked pretty good until the first wash. Then it looked 10 years old.
My wife said to turn the shirt inside out when you wash it...but I'm sure you did that Dennis, as we all know your quite the homemaker
Maverick1970: Do you mean a print? Because the image itself I can host on my website for the car owner to download (in a secure file just for you, of course). As far as prints go, I'm hoping to get some time over the weekend to find out about what it costs to get these printed up on nice paper. There are certain printing processes it takes to keep digital images from fading over time.
I see no reason why we couldn't meet up and exchange. As far as shipping goes these should be pretty cheap. I'm definately going to put prints between pieces of cardboard to keep them from getting bent in the mail.
Just post a pic of mine so I can see it and and give me an address and I'll send the money for a PRINT
riporter: I'll be posting sample images of everything so you guys can see what you're getting beforehand. No way I would ask someone to pay for something they haven't seen.
The Sprint is finished. I'm still waiting to find out exactly what print costs will be. I know Mavaholic is eagerly awaiting this unveiling. Looks like next up is Frank’s ’77. I’m trying to do these in the order I received them via e-mail. Getting a little hard to keep track of but I made up a spreadsheet. With the 1,000+ views of this topic I know I need to have constant updates to keep you guys satisfied!
Frank, just a heads up, I'm unsure how yours is going to come out because of the small source pic, but I'll do my best. As a print it will probably end up looking best as like a 5x7 or something about that size. Just a little FYI for you guys. The higher the resolution of the source pic, the more detail I get to work with, which in the end translates to a bigger rendering.
