Levi...I know you were kidding...but the reviewing of these documents, is definately something that should be done with all the proper permissions, so that it does not affect the ability for the rest of the general public, to have access.

I am just glad they finally made them available, and we still don't know for sure, if they will let the "general public" "research" these particular documents.

According to everything I've read so far about them, I am optimistic that they are cleared for access, as long as the rules are followed.

This is where a registered club of enthusiasts can or should be able to lobby Ford to gain access or permission to obtain copies of the info for the purposes of restoration. Mustang owners have this stuff because they are organized and willing to pay for such information. There are over 20,000 members on this forum. If a fraction of us belonged to a registered club such as MCCI or MCG, we'd have strength in numbers. My two-cents.

Wouldn't mind seeing the Torino/Montego ones as well as the Maverick/Comet ones. Hopefully they can be made into PDF's with permission.

Maybe one day next summer, I'll take a day and go there, I'm less than 2 hours from there, and we are family members of The Henry Ford.

Does that statement mean you can get copies from them upon request and paying the fee?

Good question...as far as Copyright and Use...Dave posted a good link to their Policy earlier in this thread.

I hope the release of these materials helps other Classic Auto Enthuiasts out there.

Nice pic there Roger! the wording I posted is straight from the link Dave put up, so I was just wondering if one could order from them.

Roger, thank you and the members of this forum for contacting me on this rare discovery! I really appreciate you taking to time to call me. As the Owner of Forel Publishing Company, LLC I am always interested in publishing manuals that Ford restorers can use and these would be great.

I plan to contact the licensing department at Ford Motor Company tomorrow and see what the next step could be in developing these. As I mentioned on the phone, I have flown to Detroit before in search of manuals and I am more than willing fly again!

Thanks again for all the hard work in uncovering these.

That would be cool!! I'd buy an assembly manual in a second, even thought I know ever nut and bolt on these cars intimately.
