Maverick/Comet VIN Registry

Wow, that's pretty cool!!

 

Yes it is pretty cool. A friend of mine who maintains the Cougar Registry purchased dozens of these microfiche films about 10 years ago and just got around to opening the envelopes this week.

There are many films, each one has like 24 images with 50 cars each. All kinds of Ford Division cars - Thunderbirds, Galaxies, Mustangs, Pintos, Broncos, Torinos, Rancheros, trucks, heavy trucks, everything.....

We went to a library and used a microfiche printer. It is a laborious process but worth the effort. I want to share what we are reaping from this effort with a responsible person who maintains a Maverick registry.

Each line has a complete description, options, everything, even the date it left the factory. The lists come with the 4 pages of dealer names, cities, phone numbers that were in District 55 --- in Missouri and Illinois.
