im gonna swap my valve springs.. found out they dont match the cam. then i figure i'll buy an eldebrock carb, and see how she preforms.. im sure glad i ran on the dyno, i would have never known my springs were too soft. all of you guy's really helped me out big time. I learned alot out there

Why do you think you need to switch to an Edelbrock carb? That Holley should work quite well IMHO once you get the valve springs fixed.

i've been having many problems with holly's.. the last one blew a power valve and I didnt even have a half hour of run time on the motor. And now the accelerator pump is bad and the choke is binding and keeping the butterflies from closing all the way

your right though.. i should just rebuild them and see how they do. everyone running an edelbrock seems to have far less problems. what do you guys think?

You asked for it Gene:rofl2: But every one already knows what I think.
Like safado says "You Drive an Edelbrock and You race a Holley"

Edelbrock "Jet It...Set It...and Forget It."

I found a Holley in the garage last night, it came off a 71 4 door I bought for parts. Im gonna go through it when my car is running and bring it to a dyno day. Ill run an Edelbrock then switch to the Holley just for fun.

Hey guys before this thread gets shut and moved lets move the chat and questions to the Sand Box thread or tech section.

You could call this chat the "After" Maverick Dyno Day Meet and Eat part of the thread... :D because the subject matter pertains to things discovered at the meet.

Just a heads up, some on the board dont think like we do. too much tech talk in an event thread can get it moved. Happened before.

I can't upload my pics from the get-together! I keep getting some "vbulletin" message saying something about a "security token is missing."

    WTF?! :hmmm:
