What he said.... You only have to please yourself. If you like it, that's what counts...

No different than driving a panel van.

    looks cool!!
I think the bolts in your headers were changed. I bought headman headers and they didnt come with that style of bolt. theyre small I give you that but nothing like yours.
my headers were a pain in the :cussing: but I manged to slide them in from under the car with the car jacked WAAAY up
I dont have an aluminum radiator yet. I used a steel chrome waterpump. as far as the oil pump rod believe me I went THROUGH IT with that time and time again lol

then I made the mistake of changing my cam without changing my valve springs. man that was SOOO frustrating to try and figure out. I thought I flattened the cam or something. finally a friend of mine told me a pulled a stud in the head.

so everyone has there fair share of headaches with these old fords. but once you get em finished get ready! here they come ready to terrorize the streets

your car really looks cool can you get away with those windows on the street?
here the first cop that sees you is gonna bust you GUARANTEED

Remember...you do not need to see behind you or to the sides if you are going fast enough!
    :drive:
The car is getting lots of attention just sitting in the shop.

Definitely a different look. I still think gloss black will really look alot cleaner. Can the window drip rails be removed easily without bending them?

As you can see I started color sanding the spots that never really got any love on the car, trying to make it a bit nicer, going over the entire car just to take down some imperfections and make it shine again.

^That was after the 1500-3000-2 passes with correction compound-1 pass with finish compound, need one more pass with a foam pad

Clutch pedal is getting there...Should have a used tremec T5 on my doorstep next week.

Need franks cross-member ($$$ i gotta save) the slave bracket slave and line.

I really am hoping to install a lightweight flywheel and aluminum driveshaft while I am at it....Not sure if its going to happen...

    Your project is looking good:thumbs2:

Where do you plan on getting the aluminum driveshaft from?

Thanks. It is on a very very strict budget, so I am suprised it is making any progress.

Missed out on the tremec t5 but have a t5 from a 86 mustang coming mon-tuesday. Price is free so worst case I use it for mockup or as a core. Supposedly useable.

Aluminum driveshaft is unknown at this point, but I am sure I could find one.

Does anyone use a driveshaft loop "incase" on a street car?

Fords don't "suck". I had no trouble whatsoever installing my 302 into my Maverick (including priming the oil pump). I run Hooker full-length headers and they fit fine, however I don't have power steering to get in the way.

You should be running a 180-degree thermostat.
