Maverick Problems

    All 4 jets on carb are working. Er are thing distr and coil so the plan is now to install new pick up in dissy and change out the coil will keep you up dated... I have also replaced all the wires and they are getting fire but it may me weakening when load is added

    Once had symptons of what you are stating. Check your oil level, had a crank case fill with coolant. I caught it before I bent any rods.

    I have replaced dizzy and coil and same problem. That only thing i can think is intake gasket or cracked intake. The plane now is for me to pull intake, have it magnafluxed to check for cracks and then put new gaskets if it is not cracked and if it is i will purchase a new one tomorrow

    I dont think i cracked a frreze plug or spark plug

    Sorry, i was speaking of spark plugs.. You'd be surprised how easy it is to do when installing, especially on a maverick where space is tight.

    i checke the plugs and they are all operating correctly and firing

    Did you check them for carbon tracks? Just trying to help.

    there actually fresh plugs just installed at same time as intake

    Thats why i say its possible to crack them. In a tight spot its very easy to do and not realize it. I do this kind of work everyday and still do it from time to time.

    check the plug gap...i have bumped the plug end when installing and closed/narrowed the gap.

    I about to pull my hair out... it still runs like crap.
    I have replaced as followed:
    1)New Spark Plugs
    2)New intake gasket
    3)edelbrock performer intake
    4)new spark plug wires
    5)new cap & rotor
    6)new pick up coil
    7)new coil
    8)new waterpump
    9)new thermostat
    10) oil change
    11) coolant flush
    12)transfilter change

    The only other thing I can think it could be is a carb.
