Back in the '60's and '70's, American Racing made these wheels in 14" and 15" that had our required backspacing:

These are the "original Torque Thrusts," not the "D" or the II". I like the chrome rim and the unpolished center. In my not so humble opinion, that is the best looking wheel ever made. I like the angles. It seems they make 'em to fit our cars...

I may have to get me some of these.

I Would have to agree Terry,Torque Thrusts look perfect on almost any car.Magnum 500's are a great looking wheel too, they suit our cars very well.

wish I had a better picture but I will post it anyway....plus I still have them. They are on my other project.....A VW dune buggy. But I might put them on the grabber......and yes they are Gold Centered.

    I have a set of 15x8.5 (R) and 15x6 (F) torq thrust "D"s
I will eventually put on my cuda. (in the box for 20
years-bought for my first car and never used) Although
I do like some new stuff from AR.

As you can see I have Crager S/S on both of my cars. Thats what they had when I bought them. It wasnt my choice. I used to hate them due to their popularity, but now they suddenly have a nostalgic quality that is period correct. And you dont see them too much. Lots of people tell me how cool the wheels look on both cars.

In case you dont recognize it, I am wearing my Maverick t-shirt with the bad azzed grabber pic on the back.

    Can't beat chrome

    These were Cragar knockoffs...Keystone Raiders.
I had these from 1985 until 2001 when I started
    the resto.

I kind of miss the chrome.....every time I have
    to buy more aluminum polish!

I'm not a big fan of Cragars. They look fine, but I would never put them on my car. Torque Thrust II's or the daisy mags are the best looking wheels ever made in my opinion. Polished Centerlines look awesome on the right car as well.

Wow. I can't see anything except Gods favorite musclecar, the 71 Cuda. Everything else is just transportation.
You sir, are now a Spartan to me.

Jamie, I agree with the polished centerline look. But then again, I am biased!
