Yea, it's too bad what happened to that car. I swear I'm going to build a 4 door Mav with a Mustang front end on it one day. LOL

I think it would be really fun to take a small bumper 4dr maverick, put on the 65 mustang front end, 73 style mustang tail lights with the honeycomb center panel, and put in a 70 style mustang dash. It would be so fun to set back at the somernites cruise, watch all the people walking by argue about what it is and listen to the others talk about how they had one just like it.

It may have said Crazy Horse...
    I don't recall exactly.

I tried to get that carbon fiber style dash pad out of there, but it was like 120* degrees that day (exageration) and I had already been there an hour stripping parts.
    Dash was still nice.
I got the CF style door panels though.
The driver side is a bit tweaked as you might imagine.

I would drive the ever loving dogsh*t out of that car and love every second of it. The original car in this thread looks HOT with the Mustang tail lights, then again any tail lights look better than Maverick ones...no offense but the factory lights are WAY too small. The console handbrake slot would get a plate inside it and spare change would soon fill the area. Anyone have a picture of an early style Mustang dashboard in a Maverick or Comet? That would look cool with the double hump.

This is one of the reasons I love our cars so much. They look good stock, but they aren't so rare and expensive that you can't modify them and they do look awesome modded. Bobcat tails, scoops and mags just make them look better. Gotta love it!

I'd thought about trying the taillights but I just changed my mind. Doesn't look right. Nice color green, though.

Reading the title made me think it was about this car... I don't dig the lights, sorry. The car? wish I had one.

    No.
It belonged to a friend o' mine.
I've known the guy for 20 years, but he is a diehard Chevy guy.
I couldn't get him to post here.
He just happenend into the Maverick and a nasty solid roller 347/5 speed at the same time, so he married the two together.

He wrecked the front of the Mav shortly thereafter...
He couldn't find a front cap for it and had the Stang front cap handy,
so he married those two together 'just because'.

The "good" pics I have posted of the car were after the second wreck that took out the new bumper and grille parts he bought to put on the car.
Between the Stang front cap, and the second wreck, the car actually looked really nice.
He had the fenders, valance, hood... but he lacked grille, bumper, and some trim, so before the second wreck it had some really cool freshly repopped parts on it. Never got a pic of it then though.:(

The third wreck did the car in.
He told me to take all the parts I wanted, just leave the hull so he could get some scrap money out of it.
I don't know where it got that goofy looking wing.
I took the grabber spoiler off.
I don't know where the Cougar lights went.

Oh, and the rear valance came off the same Stang as the front cap.
