I understand that first Mavericks came with 289 and as an option to 302. After 1975 all of them were made with 302 (at least in Mexico) I have seen many Mavericks with 6 cil made in the USA. 6 cil never hit the Mexico market.
hello, i am from mexico, mi maverick has a 289 engine too, thas the first engine that came on the 70,71,and 72 here in mexico later they put only 302 on the 73,74,75,76,77.
