Tim Wilmoth and I attended the Heart of Carolina Mustang and All Ford Powered show last Oct. near Raleigh, NC.

Would anyone be interested in this show? If I can get a committment, I will
approach the Mustang club that hosts the show and ask if they mind if we
have a mini-meet in conjuction with their show.

Seth i will be there. Folks this is one of the few shows I have been to where the Comets were not treated as "Red headed stepchildren" We actually got a lotta nice comments from the Mustang guys.As we say in Virginia and Carolina Y'all come.

    Big Red,
It is a 1 day only show. Just cars, not a parts swap/show.
I haven't confirmed this years venue, but is is usually at
Cary Towne Center Mall-just off of US 1 before you get to
    Raleigh for you.

According to this it would only be 3 hrs. if you drove at
30 mph. If you aren't running a 5.13 rear gear you should
make it in an hour and a half.

1:Start out going NORTHEAST on MORGAN ST toward MALLOY AVE.0.5 miles

[IMG]2:Turn RIGHT onto OLD WIRE RD.5.2 miles

    [IMG]3:Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto US-15 / US-501 / ABERDEEN RD. Continue to follow US-15 / US-501.20.1 miles

    [IMG]4:Stay STRAIGHT to go onto US-15 501 / US-15 N / US-501 N / NC-211 N. Continue to follow US-15 N / US-501 N / NC-211 N.1.8 miles

    [IMG]5:US-15 N / US-501 N / NC-211 N becomes US-1 N.61.4 miles

[IMG]6:Take the WALNUT ST exit toward CARY / BUCK JONES RD.0.2 miles

[IMG]7:Turn LEFT onto WALNUT ST.0.4 miles

    [IMG]8:End at Walnut St
    Cary, NC 27511, US

Total Est. Time: 1 hour, 48 minutes Total Est. Distance: 90.14 miles

Let me know who wants to attend so that I can let these guys at the
Mustang club know how much interest there is. As Tim can attest, or see
the pics for yourself, there were some nice cars there last year.
Tim and I got beat for the '65-'85 non-Mustang class by a '65(?) Cobra
replica. Hopefully they will have a class for those cars all to themselves.
I told them that they should have a separate class for Mercury/Lincoln.

We will be there. Every Tuesday night at Smithfield chicken and barbeque we have a cruise in. We also have a 50/50 drawing. Half of the money goes to whoever wins it . The other half goes in an account for children for Christmas. We also have door prizes. This is done by Old Skool Rods car club. I am one of the founders. We aren't a big club. But we put lots of car shows on. We also do benefit shows. I would like very much if some of the guys in this club could come to our cruise ins and car shows. Mavericks, Comets and Grabbers are rare and I'd love to see more. if theres a way that you know of how to get these pictures to you let me know.

    Cool!
Maybe Jeff Ford will be interested since it's a short drive from SC.
Anybody else interested in making this an event?

Terry, the JRDF show at the Ford plant is on Oct. 1st. I have to be there, since I am hosting the mini-meet for us. Gonna make it?
