I think every Maverick and Comet I've ever had, had them, both 6's and 8's, But most of the cars I've had were 73-74-75's nothing older or newer (Damn on the older)
For some reason I am thinking that plastic air intake has a 1973 part # on it ... somebody who has one can take a look at the part number and you'll know for sure ...
V8's had it.... ...I don't know if it is the same as the I6 piece, but my '74 factory 302 had it. Mine is in the storage bldg. somewhere. Seth
I dont think Marti will make you a build sheet with false information. I couldnt get him to make me a window sticker until I finally found an original with the Sprint package so he could make the wording correct. He refused to make something that was not authentic.
Going through some old photos of the car when I got it .. I found the stamp I knew was on the Front Cowl ... stamped D4 ... whatever that means ... guess I need another stamp to reproduce it ...
The hood I got off of Terry's '76 parts car is stamped D2. Looks just like that. I'm guessing you scrapped the original 6 cylinder?
haha, most people just worry about spare belts... quarts of oil... maybe even a battery... BUT WHOLE ENGINES?!?!
Well, I'm about to have 2 Mavericks being driven on a daily basis. The '72 has over 200,000 miles on the 250 in it and the '69 has a pieced together 200 in it that I got from Scrapper60 on this board with unknown mileage. With engines like this you never know when something may go wrong. I currently have one spare engine which is out of Dan's '74. I thought about putting Dan's old engine in the '69 since I know it's a good engine that still has a solid 100,000 miles of life left in it, but I am going for all out gas mileage, so I'm giving the 200 a shot. Dan's old 250 will go in if I'm not happy with the 200. Plus I'll be getting another '73 2 door Maverick before the end of summer that I have no idea of the condition of the 250 in it, so it may end up needing an engine. I always like to have spare parts "just in case"...
