I usually dedicate 6 hours into spraying a car. That does not include masking, I am talking from the time I start to put on sealer, to the last spray of clearcoat, 6 hours. I let my paint flash and tack in between. If I am doing a show job, then I have put up to 6 coats of clear, but mostly it is 3-5 coats. Just the way it works for me. Dan
