    I have the same paint on the '74 GT.
    By then the color code had changed to 2B.
    Mine had the original enamel (I guess) paint on it until
    the repaint. Under any neon lights it looked like the General Lee
    it was so orange. It is called 'bright red' on mine as well.
    My body guy went back with Dupont base clear. I think the
    clear is Chromaclear (sp?).
    It is hard to miss this color coming down the road.

    Just checked out your site Seth ... Never saw your car before ... looks awesome! Yup - they changed the code to 2B in 72 .... was a code 3 in 71 ....
