Rick, I'm not sure about the new hood. I really think your car looks bada$$ with cowl hood. I need to see them both painted first I guess. It's unique and gets props butstrictly from an cosmetic point of view it just doesn't "fit" the car IMO.
It was an experiment with two leftover hoods. I refused to sell my Shelby replica hood (originally from my '90 Mustang) that I had over $1,000 in for a mere $250 (best offer). I preferred to cut it up and put it on a Maverick hood. There was a comment (back when I was having it built) about the lines of the openings not following the lines of the hood. Actually, they do follow the lines of the hood. But because the hood is thinner on the outer edges (vs the center) the lines of the openings look skewed. Anyway, I like 'em both but prefer the cowl also. One can never have too many Maverick hoods!
Yeah if you want some tips on how to set off your fire extinguisher remotely, let me know and I will write up a how-to.
Well, D, thanks for the comment and offer but you're second in line. I think 'somebody' here has a pretty nice looking Shelby Maverick Clone that mentioned the same thing. Please form a single, orderly line for the free Shelby Replica Hood.
i think if you painted it and put some striping on b it would look 100 times better than the cowl hood
That somebody might be me ...and since you're not putting it on the car, might as well haul it to Round-Up with you. Heck, I even got an extremely nice Grabber hood I'll swap ya. Oh, by the way, the car is looking awesome...can't wait to see it in person.
Thx for the encouraging compliment. Hmmmm....... interesting idea. I'll bring my Shelby hood to the round up and you bring your Grabber hood - then we'll 'ponder'. Looking forward to seeing you there! We might have a deal :Handshake.
Actually I got two extra Grabber hoods but I'll only bring one. Four Katrina flooded 71 Grabbers = lots of good parts when you don't have time to save em all.
