wait til you get to the roof lol...lots of fun sanding it down, spreading filler and blocking it all down.
Luckily all the other panels are pretty straight with the exception of the pass quarter and door. Hood needs a little work too.
Laid some sealer down. My gun was sputtering for some reason so i had to swap out guns. Now the fun starts
Wow - looks real nice. From your photo, the stripped quarter looked like it had a lot of little dents in it or is that just the way the photo looks? Did you have to add much filler to get it smooth again?
I haven't done any body work except some minor hammer and dolly work. I'll start the bondo work tomorrow so the sealer can set today.
Did some body work. Some spots didn't come out perfect but I needed to get primer down before it rained tomorrow.
dang wish my 1/4 panel was that straight. mine looks like it had a million chopping carts RAMMED into it then 10 pounds of bondo piled on top of it all
Mine looked like that. Tons of dings, body lines had some damage. Bunch of filler. It took me a full day just to remove the old filler and paint off the 1/4 panel.
Just won an auction for sport mirrors. The mounting holes look too close to be maverick/comet mirrors. http://www.ebay.com/itm/111013474977?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
I've been doing some body work. The 1/4 didn't come out like I wanted it to so I got fed up with it. I worked on my body lines today. The door, hood and fender were off. Took the door striker off and moved it around and rebuilt the door hinges.
Looking good. Wish I were closer to you. I have a couple of front Comet bumpers. One of them is a NOS bumper...
